Anne Bacon contacted us in February 2016 concerned about her Donkey Koko. Koko was rescued by Anne and lived at the time in a beautiful shelter built for him at the bottom of their garden.
Unfortunately Koko was losing his sight and suffered a few cuts and bumps where he had been bumping into his new home.
Paricularly due to the treatment Koko had previously received, Anne wanted to provide Koko the safest of homes, so we discussed padding areas of the house that were causing the most problems for him – this included the door frame, the corners of the house and the supporting pillars.
We chose a bright vibrant yellow to try and make these areas stand out for Koko, and soft padding to ensure if he did bump into the pads, they would go easy on him.
The post protectors were all very easily installed and consisted of full wrap-around padding with Velcro corners. The corner pads screwed in through the eyelets provided to hold these in place on the structure.
Anne and Koko were extremely happy with the finished results: not only was Koko safe but his new safety padding brightened up his home.
